After volunteering on the streets of Atlanta for the past three years our founder saw that there was a great need for full size toiletries. So, she decided to reach out to her clients for donations. After requesting donations, bartering, and hosting toiletry drives, one year later OMMS has evolved. Growing up as a young girl in Jamaica she would always see her mom return from her U.S. trips with toiletries for neighbors and the less fortunate. The items would include paper towels, toilet paper, soap, wash rags, toothpaste and toothbrushes, there is no doubt that witnessing her mothers spirit of giving has planted the seed into growing On My Mother’s Shoulders.
